Services

From the first request through any appeal, for admissions and licensing exams.

First accommodation requests

Before anything is filed, we review your history, current documentation and the testing agency's criteria. We help you choose which accommodations to request, identify what evidence each one needs, and prepare the request and personal statement with you.

Documentation review

Many requests fail because an evaluation gives a diagnosis without explaining how it limits test performance, or because school records don't show the accommodation in use. We review evaluations, IEPs and 504 plans, school and program records, and support letters against the agency's standards, then work with your evaluator and school to fill the gaps.

Appeals and reconsideration

A denial letter tells you what the agency found lacking. We map each stated reason to new or clarified evidence and prepare the appeal or reconsideration within the agency's deadline. If the agency's final decision still isn't right, we explain the options that remain.

Coordination

We work directly with school coordinators, disability resource offices, medical schools, law schools, evaluators and the testing agency, so you aren't chasing everyone yourself.

Who we work with

  • High school students and families preparing for the SAT, ACT, PSAT and AP exams
  • College graduates applying to law, medical, business and graduate school
  • Law graduates taking the bar exam and MPRE in any jurisdiction
  • Medical students and graduates taking USMLE or COMLEX exams
  • Nursing graduates and professionals taking licensing and certification exams

What we don't handle

We work on accommodations from testing agencies and licensing boards. We don't help families obtain IEPs or 504 plans, or handle school-district meetings, hearings or state classroom testing, because those processes depend on local rules. If you already have an IEP or 504 plan, we'll use it as evidence in your testing agency request.

Fees

Your first consultation is free. After we understand your situation, we'll explain our fees for your matter before any work begins.

Common questions

Do you work with clients outside New York?
Yes. We work with test takers in every state by phone and video.
Can you help if I don't have a diagnosis yet?
Yes. We can explain what kind of evaluation the testing agency is likely to expect so you can choose an evaluator who meets its standards.
Do you guarantee approval?
No. Testing agencies make the decision. We help you present the strongest, most complete request your documentation supports.
