MCAT accommodations
Requests, documentation and appeals, handled with you from start to finish.
The AAMC reviews MCAT accommodation applications against its published documentation guidelines. Because medical licensing exams come later, the record you build for the MCAT can matter for years.
Who decides: Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). Policies and deadlines change, so always confirm current rules on the official accommodations page.
How the process works
- Review the AAMC's application guidelines for your condition before your evaluation, not after.
- Submit the application with a personal statement and supporting documentation well before your preferred test date.
- If the AAMC denies or partially approves the request, respond to its specific reasons with targeted evidence.
Where requests go wrong
- An evaluation that gives a diagnosis but doesn't explain how it limits timed test performance.
- A personal statement that doesn't connect history, school accommodations and the request.
- Testing data that is too old for the AAMC's guidelines.
How we help with MCAT accommodations
We review your history and documentation, identify gaps before you file, coordinate with your school, program or evaluator, and prepare a request that answers the questions reviewers actually ask. If you have already been denied, we map each stated reason to the evidence that addresses it and build the appeal or reconsideration.
Already denied? Deadlines to respond are often short. Contact us as soon as you receive the decision, and see our guide to what to do after a denial.
Talk it through before you file
Tell us which exam you are taking, your test date and where things stand. The first consultation is free, and we will tell you honestly whether we think we can help.
